The Wiking Division

Joseph Mangala was a member of the SS Viking Division, which is spelled Wiking. The unit fought exclusively in the East during the worst atrocities of the Second World War and they participated in several of those atrocities. Because the membership is largely foreign, there has been a lot of effort dedicated to minimizing the culpability of the volunteers.
