When Daesh took over, swathes of Iraq and Syria, they used that narrative. They talked explicitly about the Sykes Pico line. And if you had asked most people across the UK or France, the countries who would know what it was, I don't think James Barr would know. We accepted the arrangement of the states in the Middle East broadly as they are. But we weren't prepared for this particular grievance narrative to have been a primary aspect of their agenda.
