Every year, Chicago police recover around 7,000 firearms that are either used in the commission of a crime or possessed illegally. There has yet to be a single gun store opened within city limits. Up until 2014, it was against the law to sell guns in Chicago. The answer is really hard to get your mitts around. It's really tough to say.
