The Value of Privacy Rights

The value for these rights, and I'm thinking primarily about constitutional rights like free speech, is not just personal. There is a value to society in everybody having the right. Some law professors that teach privacy law are particularly sensitive to privacy while many young users of Instagram are less so. Sophisticated privacy junkies don't need private mandatory rights, they can tailor their own but others might need that.
