The proof system that we originally used for sprout, called m b c tv 14, had a soundless flooro. And so it's more efficient to keep am sprout and sapling using 16 on the jubjub curve. One sprout doesn't actually use any elliptic curve arithmetic at all. So if you want to interact with a zkash protocol without involving parings ande the paramtersand and whatever, then you are only relying on the trustless proving system. You can't switch that over without losing somehow the balances.
In this week’s episode, Anna explores Halo 2 with Daira Hopwood and Str4d, cryptographic engineers at Electric Coin Company. They explored what new ideas Halo introduced and how Halo 2 built on these ideas, adding optimisations such as adding Plonk-ish arithmetization to take what was a breakthrough to a production ready proving system.
