There's kind of two camps right now that are pushing for hybrid approaches to cryptography. One camp is saying we can't trust the quantum resistant ciphers yet because they're too new and they're not tested enough. And then you also have the other crowd that's very concerned that quantum's right on the corner, and that our legacy ciphers are all in jeopardy.
