In Ecuador, the text of the law allows certain representatives to bring lawsuits in the name of ecosystems. The Salksoo-Atle tribe has been fighting for a number of years against the city of Seattle. A couple weeks ago, the city settled that case and agreed to put fish passage in around the hydroelectric dams.
