The History of Queerness and Medical Education
I think here the medical profession sometimes what we deemed themselves in terms of their support of the LGBT community. I do think at that point they kind of somewhat redeemed themselves because there was a flattening of and a challenge to that medical paternalism. Do you feel like the history of sort of queerness and medicine is still impacting medical school and the careers of doctors today? It largely depends on somebody kind of driving that agenda whereas I think what there needs to be is more of a national agenda that this is a really important aspect of nursing and medical education that needs to be in the curriculum. Okay so quite a heavy in two and parts but also very powerful what are our thoughts on the panel?
