What's Your Response to Dams?
Michael mirsa: When i was a kid, dams kind of ruined rivers and caused more problems sometimes than they were good for. David coller: The first thing is perception of risk. We don't tend to think about what we need to do as far as when we plan to put new homes or buildings within flood planes. There second thing that we have coming out of the construction of damsas it actually starves the river of its sediment. And that's particularly important when you have a levee as a defence system.
