The Importance of Language in Fiction

It really always depends on what the story is, who the characters are and where things are going, how you would present the language in the story. There's a famous incident in the Foreigner universe books by C.J. Cherry where one word got spelled multiple ways. No editor will be able to tell you any different. They won't catch your mistakes. So keep notes. You want to be very careful that before you make that canon about checking for typos.
