The Primary Outcome of Septic Stomach Patients in the ICU

After 90 days a total of 329 patients equivalent of 42.1 percent had died in the standard care group and in the restrictive group this number was 323 equivalent of42.3 percent. Not entirely unexpected these septic shock patients do receive high amounts of total fluid volumes including those with medication and nutrition. It seemed that the differences we saw in the cumulative IV fluid volumes are retained in these total volumes. The adjusted absolute difference was 0.1 with a confidence interval around 0 of minus 4.7 to 4.9 p value of 0.96.
