The Stoneman's Agreement

There were black players in the NFL prior to 1933. And that is not because of lack of talent or lack of a player pool. It just was that they were not being employed. Some large group of owners specifically did not want to hire and employ black players. So it went for over a decade to where there were no black players being hired. There were some that peaked interest, but never made it fully onto a team.
