Struve represented yet another new current in marxism, a current that would soon be flowing over towards liberalism. Struve himself was born in 18 70 and got into student politics but still managed to fenegl a job as a librarian in the ministry of finance before being arrested for subversive activity. He also married a woman named nina gurd who happened to be a gymnasium classmate of nadia krupska. The line that struve and tugen barnowsky followed emphasized the positive application of marxis economic and social analysis to the russian situation.
