The Great Hunger
i think the great hunger is far more important than the entire revolutionary era. It would be very difficult to understand things like irish independence, immigration and even the irish landscape today, if the famine is not understood. The 18 thirties in erland were marked by several of failed harvests. There had also been two major famines in living memory in 18 forty five as well. i want to plunge into the events themselves and then look at why they're so profound.
