I lost everything. I couldn't find a lawyer to speak on my behalf for three months. In Sweden and in Turkey. Because this thing very strategically happened on Turkish Twitter, knowing that it wouldn't hold water outside Turkish Twitter. It was represented as a case of academic Me Too, the Turkish academia's Me Too moment. But then something really all happened. We got a European grant, which was worth 200,000 euros. That was an application we made earlier after, you know, everything was, was over. And I received an email, literally blackmail email, everything isn't writing,. Everything is presented to the courts, several courts in Sweden and inTurkey. So let's talk about

Right now, someone, somewhere is being cancelled. Off-the-cuff tweets or “harmless” office banter have the potential to wreck lives. The Left condemns the Right, and the bigotry of the old elites. The Right complains about brain-dead political correctness, and the erosion of liberal values. In reality, both sides are colluding in a reactionary, exclusionary politics that is as self-defeating as it is divisive. Can the Left escape this extremism and stay true to the progressive ideals it once professed?
