What's Better Than One Lawyer?
An organization called Callisto is using novel ideas from cryptography to help catch serial sexual predators. It lets the survivor enter their name in a database together with details about the assailant, such as their social media handle or phone number. All this stuff is encrypted, meaning that all the identities of both the survivor and alleged perpetrator are anonymous. But if the same perpetrator is named by two people, the website registers a match and then triggers an email to two lawyers.
