Is There a Solution to the Problem of Evil?

As a Christian theist I persuaded that the problem of evil as terrible as it is does not in the end constitute a disprove of the existence of God. On the contrary, I think that Christian theism is man's last best hope of a solution to the problem ofEvil. Now first and foremost we need to distinguish between what is called the intellectual problem of evil and the emotional problem of evil. And I suspect frankly that for most people the problem ofevil is really an emotional problem not really an intellectual problem.
