Computer Science Trivia Interview Processes

The purpose of an interview is to identify someone's strengths and weaknesses, not to see if they solve this one specific problem. Companies are so worried about bad hires because they feel like the cost of a bad hire is so large that they're really biased towards rejecting potentially good candidates. I think interviewing might be hardest thing to do well that software development is related to. So far we've been focusing on why CS trivia is a bad idea - but it does have a place in the interview process.
