Southwest Airlines is famous for their heart so it was a no brainer to create the special moment arose. The crew hung toilet paper streamers, made a snack, mixed sash for chris and down loaded a full wedding sound track before take off. Julie, one of our flight attendants, even stepped in as pam's maid of honor. One passenger, who happened to be a professional photographer, pulled out our camera for official wedding fots. Another passenger passed around an old notebook for the cabin to sign with their seat numbers and well wishes to be given to the couple as a guest book.

Find the area the area of your work where you need to influence the emotional system. Trust stories about small moments. Don’t attempt to create an epic drama of huge importance. The best stories are individual incidents that send a bigger message. Formal story mining can be done alone or as team building. Institutionalizing practices like story sharing can help this happen regularly and naturally. When informally collecting stories, listen for time, place, and person as signals that a story is beginning.
