Nester Machno was an anarchist warlord and one of the most successful guerrilla commanders in all of history. Without him, we probably would never have had a Soviet Union, which is a mixed bag. He actually really didn't want it to happen. And you know, if we're going to talk about Nester before we get into his life, we are going to have to talk about Ukraine a little bit.
