Heidi's Grandmother's Hunt
Heidi was thrilled to find that the grandfather kept two goats, Schwendly and barely. She identified the hayloft and set to work, making up a little bed of hay by the window,. Heidi slept soundly all night long, though a storm blew a gale outside. The next morning, he encouraged her to go out with Peter, the goat herd, into the mountains. They saw a huge eagle sawing overhead while they ate their dinner; Heidi shared her cheese with Peter.
