The idea of being a founder, of transforming athens would appeal to glaucon. So he has these these a desires for a conspicuous life that i think is tied to what glo socres calls his courage on the one hand. On the other hand, he has a sense of shame. The lives he invisions the for himself are tyranny and martyrdom.
