Self-Defense, Female Separatism and Female Tribalism Are Core Tenets of My Feminism
Without self-defense, female separatism and female tribalism, women and girls are constantly vulnerable to all forms of male violence. We can't predict or control what males around us will do; we can never eliminate our chance of experiencing male violence altogether as long as we live around them. What we can do is learn how to defend ourselves in the event we encounter male violence and avoid giving males unsupervised private access to us. If you love, value and respect yourself, you will feel entitled to defend and protect your body and mind at all costs. That's how our own fight-or-flight response developed over millions of years. Every other animal in nature instinctively defends itself when attacked
