Parathyroid Hormone
Parathyroid hormone is the phosphate trashing hormone. People with high PTH will have really low phosphate. Vitamin D becomes that active, it's hydroxylated at the one position, at the kidney, and it becomes that active 125 hydroxy vitamin D.
