Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts

Jonathan Taylor is eligible for a contract extension after two seasons in the NFL. The Colts could pay him if they wanted to, but like you mentioned, they're not just going to hand it out for free. So Taylor is saying, all right, well, I have to try to force their hand in some sort of fashion to get my money because just being showing up to camp and doing your thing won't work. They're just going to let you play that out and it's franchise tag you and then you'll be right in the same situation that Josh Jacobs and Seguan Barkley were in.
