The Social Role of Reasoning in Communication
Social encounter more likely to produce truth than just an individual on their own. We're not thinking as reason as a way to take us to the truth, he says. "Rationality is for overcoming trust bottlenecks in communication" But it does have relevance to getting to the truth because part of the name of reason is also to explain the fantastic achievements of reasoning.
