The Crocodile - A Poem That Is Not Long
The poems, perhaps to a degree that might seem on the edge of being excessive, refer to other poems, other works of literature. In tin, the long poem called the crocodile, for instance, there is a whole section of the poem, not long, that is nothing but a quotation from shakespeare's askin cleopatra. None of it's me a and i found the the harnessing of quotation in this way be really exciting when it worked. And i like paying homage to forces outside of myself in that way.
