Are Harriet and Her Brothers Successful in Getting Away?

Harriet and her brothers were very afraid of getting caught. The underground railroad was an informal network of people, before the civil war, who helped slaves escape to freedom. Harriet's brother ben was a new father, and he very much did not want to be sold south, away from his wife and child. Despite harriet's protests, they convinced her to come back with them. How shortly after they returned, harriet once more struck out on her own and escaped, again, with her brothers out of the picture.
