With all the talk of 25 50 basis point rate hikes, how many and how many are they going to do? When wouldn't balanceshet reduction make a bigger difference? At this point, balancy reduction deftly makes a bigger difference from the tive of asset markets. The fed's line, rather, has been that we've got to do the um interest rate hikes, get that going roll off c e, before we start doing c t. And usa should not be taking any pages out of their 19 sixties play book because whatever they did in 19 sixties gave us the 19 seventies, the worst decade.
