There's lots of discussion about positive feedbacks and tipping points, especially in the Arctic. So if positive feedback is a vicious circle, so something happens that causes something else to happen that reinforces the initial forcing. And so one of the reasons the Arctic is warming so much faster than the rest of the world is because of these positive feedbacks. There's still plenty of ice and snow cover to melt in high latitudes.
