The Dangers of a Russian Counter-Offensive Against Crimea
CNN's John Defterios argues that a Crimean counter-offensive would be key to ending the war in Ukraine or at least accelerating an end to the war. He says U.S. has crossed several Russian red lines yet we've been deterred on numerous occasions whether it was establishing a free fly zone over Western Ukraine, using American ships for naval convoy and sending F-16s. But despite what Putin says, Russia does not have an existential interest in this war., he writes.
