The Neuroanatomy of Empathy
Is crying fundamentally a mechanism for showing or feeling empathy? This word empathy has been so misused and so misunderstood. It's the neuroanatomy which connects our various areas of the higher brain into the areas of the lower brain where the outlet goes to stimulate crying. And those in the human are linked pretty directly whereas in the primates there are connecting waste stops which don't give that clear direction.
