Is There a Market for Safe and Liquid Assets?
In a booming economy, you don't necessarily need to hold safe and liquid assets. You can hold riskier assets that yield, that have a higher yield. So the demand for those treasuries or those os will go down because people don't want to hold em. But in risky times, the demand for safe and liquid asset increases. That's on a global scale.
