The Environmental Impact of Processing Minerals in the US

I'm not sure people appreciate that mining these minerals is just dirty, nasty, gross stuff. It's very low on the value chain in terms of industrial activity. Subsidies for processing and re cycling are going to be a big one as well. I don't know that west virginia could have kinne continued economic activity.
