Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito says he's "not sure what they are envisioning here" in the debate over algorithms. He argues that by their very nature, neutrality seems like a misplaced concept with respect to algorithms. The way these algorithms operate is with the goal of increasing user engagement and ad revenue, which could lead to lots of troubling effects.
