The Relationship Between Wonder, Stress, and Health

When we engage in a wonder practice, what that starts to do is help our vagus nerve. It's Latin for wandering because it basically starts in our brainstem and goes all the way down the course of our body. Wonder helps us tap into the rest and digest period when what we want to do is constantly be in flight or flight. And so from a physiological point of view, it really helps us to relax...and people will then feel around us less stressed and feel that we're less reactive.
