The Value of Being a Medical Student

When you actually do click well with the work involved in caring for a patient, you are taking into account what you know from the patient. That is very rewarding. I don't mean to say that we should be sheltering medical students and saying it's all hunky-dory. It's a complex place to be. And the better you'll be better off, the more you understand about all of that. So if you go out into practice thinking, as long as I'm a good clinician, everything is going to be fine, that's going to be a rougher road than if you goout into clinical medicine.
