Jujitsu - Where Should Your Hand Be?
Instructors often don't bother to address the higher level, which is why are you doing these things? Why? What do you see that would lead you to do this kind of movement? That's often more important than being able to just follow instructions and do the move exactly as your instructor taught you. I think one, just another sort of rarely understood thing in learning is that novices and experts learn differently. And so here i might want to replace directive feedback with questioning, where should your hand be? What should it look like? How do you know that right? Because you know, it's a decision making endeavor.
