The Geopolitical Landscape at the Time of the Hindenburg

There were signs that there was a bit of competition going on between the airlines and, you know, the lighter than air dirigible craft. There is an element there of geopolitical tension where the German side of the investigation, there is evidence that they did see that it was sabotaged. But rather than create an international incident out of it, they chose to go the other way and just go along with the accident narrative.
