The Speed of Sound
Sound travels extremely well through water because it's so much denser than the air. Another thing that affects the speed of sound is temperature. Since warmer molecules bounce around faster than cold ones, it means they can transmit sound faster. It's amazing, this business of pressure and temperature are intimately related.
