What's the Difference Between a Memoir and a Book?

The book was positioned and marketed as a novel. It has historical, very deep historical significance to it. The collective cultural grammar of the story telling is very specific. So even when we're reading it to day, we have a feeling like everybody's wearing very tight suits and rather pressed in their white gloves.
