The Florida State Guard's Internal Turbulence

The Florida State Guard has been mired in internal turmoil with some recruits complaining that what was supposed to be a civilian disaster response organization has become heavily militarized. At least one fifth of the 150 people initially accepted into the program have either quit or been kicked out, including those who were fired after trying to raise concerns of the operation. The New York Times reported they added this to the story one of the recruits who like most of others did not want to be named because a fear of reprisals describe the training is more like a quote military fantasy camp.
