I'm not super worried about either of those in the long run. I think failing to use it to its full potential is much more plausible. Some sort of disaster from AI is likely just because, again, every new technology creates potential for disasters and often creates disasters. But wouldn't that disaster involving AI be more analogous to a nuclear war than a plane crash or a nuclear power plant meltdown? I mean, you could get things at any level, right? The smaller disasters are more likely but obviously less impactful.
