The Threat of Muslim Women
I spent a lot of time talking about gender and I think that my chapter on Muslim women is probably my favorite one was interesting. And this gets back to the gender issue again because the woman has a threat to the new order because they are continuing to do the things they want supposed to do. They were the capers of tradition but on the other hand at least the way they are conceptualized by the regimes as the ultimate victim actually. But if you look at the veil in the last few decades and how it's re-emerged in the Muslim world as this, I mean there's a sense that it's this kind of tradition but actually in a lot of literature is it's written
