Sibyl Healy was a friend of Rudyard Kipling's sister Alice. Dorothy North was the daughter in law to the 12th baron north. Agatha Christie could not present her own daughter at court due to her status as a divorcee. In 1937, Dorothy North presented Rosalind at court as a debutante.
