Ifting Against Right Handed Hitters Is Working Well All of the Time

Tom tango of m l b has had a couple posts about this on his blog lately, which i will link to on the show page. It seems like teams have been herding themsel when they have shifted against right handed hitters,. That has actually been counter productive, and that they've maybe made that up against left-handed hitters. And so it seemed like it just maybe didn't make so much sense to shift against ridies. But for the first time, according to tango's analysis, he's found that, not only are teams shifting more often against reddies, they shifted slightly less against them last year relative to 20 20.
