Do You Think There's Precedent With US Police Forces Using Robots for Lethal Reasons?
There's not a lot of precedent with US police forces using robots for lethal reasons, right? The only one that I've seen is the incident July 2016 in Dallas where there was a sniper who killed five police officers. And they actually took a ground-based robot that they already had, wrapped a bomb to it and ultimately killed the person. But if you put a policy like this in place in San Francisco or other cities, then it becomes a tool that police departments reach for and use because it's authorized.
