Sigmund freud's work was hated on multiple, multiple levels by all the german speaking and english speaking neurologists and psychiatrists of the time for many, many decades. He dared to focus on childhood experiences at a time when brain degenerationism overtook the psychiatric and merological professions. If you were mad in the late eighteenth century, early nineteenth century, it had nothing to do with your mother or father. It was all because you had a degenerated brain. So he could not have been more hated and less of a white man in people's minds. And how he did just commit suicide with all the attacks that he endured is a very important investigative question.
