Elixir is doing really good amongst the languages that came out this last decade. There's also this principle of good enough if you've heard of that before. PHP and Java and JavaScript like they all get the job done right, but there's a lot of big systems out there running on them. You might have to jump through a bit more hoops on some of these platforms, but they get the jobdone.
