Is There a Difference Between Liberalism and Democracy?
Liberal democracy consists of two elements that don't always go together: collective self-determination, liberal element of individual rights and freedoms. When the two are in tension, as they increasingly are, at some point you have to make a choice. So either we prioritize small al-liberalism over small D democracy or the reverse. I'm really looking forward to this conversation.
